Guru’s Update & “Balancing the Immune System” Results

Apologies again for the lack of new content on the Blog recently. After initially moving to London, I ended up moving jobs twice and moved house again – all in the space of about 4 months!

I’m preparing quite a long post regarding the exciting research by Dr Matteo Bordignon on the connection between MIA (melanoma inhibitory activity) and non-segmental Vitiligo. In the mean time, you can read some of Flavio’s excellent information in comments of my previous posts where he talks about this.

I’ve spoken to Dr Bordignon and he has agreed to have a Google Hangouts Video Call with me sometime in October regarding his research. Hopefully, if all goes to plan, I’ll upload video to the blog.

Remember this handsome chap?

Guru’s progress, clinical trials, Crowdfunding Vitiligo research and Twitter

In a previous post I talked about my very good friend Guru. We first met at our consultation with Prof. Schallreuter in Germany, both attended the Dead Sea trip this year and remained in-touch since.

I met Guru in London recently and we caught up on each others repigmentation progress. Guru has had such success, he’s great example of how effective the treatment can be:

Dead Sea, Vitiligo

Dead Sea: 21 Days at one of the most incredible places on Earth!

21 Days at the Dead Sea was enough time to cure any scepticism I had about the treatment or it’s effectiveness. My experience at the Dead Sea has not only helped my skin but had long lasting effects on my attitude towards Vitiligo. I’ll try to get as much into this post as I can, but if you have any specific questions please ask in the comments below.

I should mention from the outset that Prof. Schallreuter’s treatment isn’t just about the Dead Sea, for optimum results you must continue with the PC-KUS and UVB lamp(Panel or Handheld) when you return from the Jordan. I’m currently only treating my face with the handheld, I travel so much in my job  that I couldn’t make use of the full panel at this time.

Right from the start, everyone wants to know if it worked…
