Guru’s Update & “Balancing the Immune System” Results

Apologies again for the lack of new content on the Blog recently. After initially moving to London, I ended up moving jobs twice and moved house again – all in the space of about 4 months!

I’m preparing quite a long post regarding the exciting research by Dr Matteo Bordignon on the connection between MIA (melanoma inhibitory activity) and non-segmental Vitiligo. In the mean time, you can read some of Flavio’s excellent information in comments of my previous posts where he talks about this.

I’ve spoken to Dr Bordignon and he has agreed to have a Google Hangouts Video Call with me sometime in October regarding his research. Hopefully, if all goes to plan, I’ll upload video to the blog.

Remember this handsome chap?

Guru-Progress

Guru recently sent me this picture to show the progress on his face. If you compare this with my previous post, you can see the hyper-pigmentation has started to subside and is slowly returning to it’s normal colour.

I also received the results from Doctor Wilsons immune balancing program and although I haven’t acted on any of the recommendations yet, some very interesting things came out of it.

The report is incredibly dense and complex, it’s 24 pages of detailed information regarding the findings from the hair analysis and how the current imbalances  could be affecting the body.

The program focuses on:

  • The balance of minerals in the body
  • The speed of oxidisation (slow, fast or mixed)
  • Metal levels within the body
  • Thyroid and Adrenal Ratios

I put together a table of my test results:

TestIdeal ValueMy Value
Calcium40308
Magnesium65
Sodium2516
Potassium1015
Vitality Ratio2.51.07
Blood Sugar/Lifestyle Ratio6.6761.60
Thyroid Ratio420.53
Adrenal Ratio4.173.20

Rather than go through the whole report in this post, the main things to point out are that I’ve currently got way too high sugar and calcium intake, my body is struggling to eliminate toxic metals, I’m suffering from Adrenal Fatigue and I’ve got an under active thyroid.

The under-active thyroid result interested me the most as I previously was tested for this and got the OK from my doctor. Although more evidence is coming to light that Vitiligo is not auto-immune, I still believe it could be connected to one of these other issues.

I’m booking into a BioLab Medical Unit in West London to get full blood work done to test my thyroid. Once I’m fully aware of the issues are I can start treating them in a holistic manner.

Another positive note is that the Vitiligo had caused some of my eyelash to turn white, the UVB treatment has brought the hair back to it’s normal brown colour –  I’m very pleased about this.

More to come!

    Hi Simon!

Thank you for sharing with us and good luck with your new job.

As for the results of your blood test, I hope you get better on your next time. I got perfect results and yet that nightmare doesnt go anywhere.

Recently i read a book by Brandon Bays “The Journey”, she talks about how she cured her cancer by herself and gives step by step instructions for how to deal with psychomatic desease and cure it. I found it very encouraging and i recommend to read it, maybe it will work for someone.

I hope Dr. Bordignon will bring good news for us. His research looks really promising.

Thank you again for your blog! It’s just awesome!

Thanks for the kind words Olga.

I’ll definitely check out that book, I love reading of such experiences. I often see cancer being cured through holistic means.

      Regards

      Simon.

    Hi Simon
Hope you are doing well and thanks for sharing your experiences.
Would you happen to know of the best treatment for a young child who has Vitiligo?

I understand you are not a Dermatologist but wondered if you had a inking on the best treatment of point me in the right direction. I’ve not manged to find an email address for Dr Karan. I’ve seen a site selling Pseudocatalase but I’m not too sure if they are selling an authentic cream.

    Regards
    Imran

      Imran,

Pseudocatalase treatment is one of the best.
However, it treats oxidative stress from outside only. You have to treat it from inside too.
      Check http://www.vitiligomap.com and also http://www.vitiligomap.com/protocol.html
This site also teaches how to produce pseudocatalase yourself.
      You can trust it.

    Hi Friends,

If you feel lost regarding treating vitiligo, or really don’t know what to do, a Functional Treatment is a good start.

Functional Medicine addresses the underlying causes of disease, using a systems-oriented approach and engaging both patient and practitioner in a therapeutic partnership. It is an evolution in the practice of medicine that better addresses the healthcare needs of the 21st century. By shifting the traditional disease-centered focus of medical practice to a more patient-centered approach, functional medicine addresses the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms. Functional medicine practitioners spend time with their patients, listening to their histories and looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex, chronic disease. In this way, functional medicine supports the unique expression of health and vitality for each individual.

A good Functional Treatment has to combine a lot of actions, ALL AT THE SAME TIME. For instance: avoiding physical traumas and friction, balancing psychological and emotional issues, changing lifestyle, following an UVB-NB phototherapy, taking nutritional supplementation, reducing oxidative stress by taking anti-oxidants and anti-fungals, applying topical creams (Elidel, Protopic and Pseudocatalase), and also following a good diet if necessary (e.g., gluten-free, dairy-free).

PROTOCOL (dosages should be discussed with your Doctor):

    1- 9W UVB-NB Phototherapy 3x a week (expose each patch separately)

    2- Daily Supplementation Suggestion:
